HOVERBIKE BY MALLOY AERONAUTICS COMBINES MOTORCYCLE AND HELICOPTER

US Army to Build First Working Hoverbike

A hoverbike that flies like a quadcopter is the end result of a year of R&D by Malloy Aeronautics, following the decision by the US Army to develop and build the manned quadcopter. According to its developer, the Hoverbike has combined the simplicity of a motorbike with the freedom of a helicopter to become the world’s first flying motorcycle. Cheaper, more rugged and easier to use than a helicopter as well, the Hoverbike represents a whole new way to get around. Malloy Aeronautics says that its goal was to design an extremely reliable helicopter with a focus on rugged simplicity and pilot safety during the aircraft’s operation. Though no component or system associated with the Hoverbike has not been designed and thoroughly tested before, its novelty lies in the combination of these existing systems.
