Blackman and White, manufacturer of automated cutting technology, will showcase its MasterCut Versa-Tech flatbed cutter, the latest machine in the MasterCut range and developed to handle a wide range of materials from technical textiles and prepregs to heavy-duty materials.

Blackman and White (Maldon, Essex, U.K.), manufacturer of automated cutting technology, will showcase its MasterCut Versa-Tech flatbed cutter, the latest machine in the MasterCut range and developed to handle a wide range of materials from technical textiles and prepregs to heavy-duty materials. The company will run live demonstrations on its stand. Versa-Tech is available in cutting widths up to 3.2m/10.5 ft and can be customized with an integral conveyor bed for high-volume production. It features a multi-tool head that eliminates the need to change tools during operation. The multi-tool head can carry rotary or fixed blades, markers, or an oscillating blade. The head will also accommodate a router if cutting of cured composites is required, or an ink jet printer tool head can be integrated onto the machine for identification of cut parts. Blackman and White software converts 3-D files to 2-D profiles so that templates can be automatically nested.
