Robots with real faces - Ken Matsudaira and his robot twin

Ken Matsudaira, the famous Japanese actor, struck a pose with his “twin” brother Real Android Matsuken in Tokyo this week. Smiles were on both faces but there was a slight difference between the two: Real Android Matsuken is the sibling Matsudaira’s mother never heard of before! Despite the resemblance, Real Android Matsuken is an android! It was developed for an advertisement for Japanese telecom company KDDI. During the press presentation, Ken Matsudaira wore a robot suit, emphasizing their likeness! The android’s face is incredibly similar to Matsudaira’s, bringing improvements made in the android’s “sector” to a higher level.

An actor associated to an android with a real face…A source of inspiration for Hollywood? Until then, KDDI’s promotional plan succeeds in positioning the company as a reference for telecommunication and androids innovation.
