Motion Control “Right there and on the Spot” for Decentralized Controllers

An iSA decentralized controller delivers local real-time motion control—it can synchronize motion axes and cross-communication over several levels.

The programmable logic controller (PLC) can also exchange data with other programs over an OPC server, and has gateway functionality for Ethernet/IP and PROFIBUS when connected with other controllers.

A CODESYS programming platform enables standard programming according to IEC 61131-3. Real-time control is achieved with a Linux operating system and an EtherCAT master.

The iSA integrates an internal braking chopper and braking resistor. It’s powered by a three- phase signal at 400 V ac and produces a dc bus supply for servo drives or a 24-V dc supply for other modules. The compact device weighs only 2.2 kg, and features IP65-rated protection against dust and water.
