Working with its consortium partner, Interserve Construction, Danish waste to energy technology manufacturer, Babcock & Wilcox Vølund has secured an EPC contract to build and operate a 40 MW wood waste to energy facility near Port Talbot, Wales
The company explained that the Margam Green Energy project will be capable of processing waste wood, including contaminated wood and fuel containing metals, with no pre-treatment.
The plant will have a capacity of 280,000 tonnes per annum, generating 40 MW of energy.
