AEROMOBIL FLYING CAR BY STEFAN KLEIN

The first flying car designed like a standard vehicle

Slovak designer and engineer, Stefan Klein, has proudly performed the first flight with his AeroMobil Version 2.5, a project he has been elaborating for the past 20 years. As a matter of fact, the AeroMobil Flying Car is not a premiere on the market, but it differs from others thanks to its particularly convenient aspect. Indeed, the Aeromobil runs on regular gasoline, is light (450 kg empty) and was thought to fit in any standard parking lot. No different than operating a “basic” vehicle, really.

Only the rear propeller and front wheels are powered by the 100-hp engine. The rear wheels exclusively carry the rear fins and guarantee stability for the car. Simplicity remains the key word when switching to flying mode: putting the car into gear will transfer the engine power to the rear propeller and spread the wings. The wingspread of the AeroMobil reaches 8,2 meters, at a maximum speed of 200kph, with a flying length possibility of 700km.

Klein is eager to introduce his design, at “the intersection of technology and art”, as he refers to it, to the market, for commercial purpose. An explicit call for investors!

You can own a flying car by 2017
