Center of sports preparation of Vittel

Put in conformity of the fire escape

The MOUGINOT Metalwork, metal manufacturer (stairs, walkways, fences, gates), located in the Vosges at Robecourt won the renovation market of the CPO (Preparation Centre Omni sports) of Vittel.

MOUGINOT contacted Meiser for the upgrading of a fire escape concrete in the large pool area. The CPO is an ERP (Establishment Receiving the Public), it must be in compliance with all regulations accessibility for the disabled people.

For these stairs, Meiser has manufactured special walk covers systems in Stainless Steel standard AISI 316 L thickness= 2 mm, with an AGRAIN surface treatment. This is a metal blasting projected on the sheet, produced by Meiser in partnership with the MGS company. This provides extreme slip resistance.

Meiser has delivered:

- 51 covers steps of 20 mm x 50 mm x 350 mm x 145 mm x 20 mm with broken angles, lengths = 2438 mm and 2210 mm. These covers are coated steps of coating red nose, to create a visual contrast

- 7 covers steps 20 mm × 50 mm × 520 mm with broken angles, L = 2448 mm.

MOUGINOT set the Meiser profiles on the existing staircase by gluing.

Meiser also provided awakening vigilance tactile strips TOLPLOT stainless steel AISI 316 L 20/10. MOUGINOT installed the TOLPLOT on the bearings, 500 mm in the first step of each flight of stairs. This regulatory requirement to create a visual contrast and a different texture, which alert visually impaired and blind, the proximity of danger (the stairs).

There was on site 2 tactile areas:

- 1 area = 8880 mm x 500 mm. Meiser has manufactured over 12 TOLPLOT measures 740 mm x 500 mm, set side by side on site.

- 1 area = 9732 mm x 500 mm. Meiser has manufactured over 12 TOLPLOT measures 811 mm x 500 mm, set side by side on the building site.

The project, carried out during the month of August 2016, has given a new look and design to an existing building in a competitive budget.

MOUGINOT the company, coupled with its supplier Meiser, put the equipment in compliance with accessibility standards handicapped (APH).

This example illustrates site positioning as partner Meiser ironworkers in the field of accessibility.

The accessibility documentation, available on stock program and the distribution network are available on request.
